SPRING NATURE DISCOVERY - Wednesday, April 24, at 4 pm

The Essex County Environmental Center will visit the library and lead children ages 5 and up on a spring nature walk on the library grounds - there will be lots to see! Event will include an exhibit where guests can examine fur, feathers, tracks, and other examples of native New Jersey nature before wandering outside to look for the signs, sounds, and colors of spring. Program will conclude with a nature craft. For ages pre-K through first grade, pre-registration required. RSVP HERE
 

 



SPANISH STORY TIME - Thursday, April 25, at 10:30 am

         
 

Enjoy listening to stories in Spanish and then work on a related craft. Please pre-register so that there will be enough craft materials for each child.

CRAFTER-SCHOOL CLUB: PAINTED TOTE BAGS - Thursday, April 25, at 4 pm

Celebrate Earth Day by painting a reusable canvas tote bag in your own unique style. For ages 5 and up. Smocks recommended, pre-registration required. RSVP HERE

CHESS CLUB FOR ALL AGES - Thursday, April 25, 6-7 pm

 

 

 

 

 

 


All levels welcome! Whether you are a beginner, seasoned player, or just want to learn how to play chess, head over to the library for an hour of chess every other Thursday in our Quiet Room. For children, teens, and adults. RSVP for CHESS CLUB HERE:

Weekly story times will take place on Tuesday mornings, followed by weekly pre-K crafts on Wednesday mornings, both at 10:30 am in our Community Room. Reservations will be required for Wednesday crafts but not for Tuesday story times.

Children and their caregivers can enjoy stories on Tuesday mornings in our spacious community room. Themes vary every week. Registration is not required for our regular story time. Upcoming themes:

Sing and dance along as Ms. Lynne, who works as a Music Together teacher in the West Essex area, plays her guitar! No RSVP needed.

MEET RYDER THE THERAPY DOG - Friday, May 10, at 3:30 pm

Enjoy some time with Ryder, a 3-year-old Cavapoo who works as a certified therapy pet through Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs. Founded in 1999, this organization has been authorized in all 50 states and is recognized by the American Kennel Club. Ryder and his other therapy dog friends offer friendship and support to people of all ages in different situations, and he also loves to hang out and listen to stories. Limited to 10 children - RSVP HERE 

 



CRAFTER-SCHOOL CLUB: SONGBIRD COLLAGES - Thursday, May 30, at 4 pm

Break out the Mod Podge and pretty papers, we are making songbird collages to celebrate spring!
