Tea Blending Workshop
Join us for a Tea Blending Workshop presented by Screen Tea, Inc. on Friday, February 22, at 6 pm. This hands-on workshop will offer some basic steps and important factors to consider in tea blending. Participants will also create some tea blends to enjoy at home! RSVP on our website.

"The Next Chapter" Grief Support Social
Our next meeting of The Next Chapter Grief Support Social has been moved to Tuesday, February 19, at 7 pm. Connect with others who have experienced the loss of a loved one. No RSVP needed.
NEW! De-Stress with Mindful Coloring for Adults
Escape the stress of everyday life and color your troubles away every Tuesday at 1 pm. Join us for an afternoon of serenity, coloring, herbal tea, snacks, and meditative music. RSVP on our website.
Love Yourself with Essential Oils - NEW DATE
Love Yourself with Essential Oil, our Valentine's-themed essential oil workshop, has been rescheduled due to the weather forecast. Geeta Lahiri, a wellness educator with Young Living, will visit the library on Tuesday, February 19, at 7 pm to show you how to make three different essential oil products to pamper yourself with. Create a Colorful Plate Contest
In honor of March as National Nutrition Month, we are inviting kids and their families to pool their creative talents and arrange a picturesque plate of colorful and nutritious foods. Email your photographs to our director, Jen Overton, at overton@roseland.bccls.org no later than Friday, March 15. Three winners will be selected. Details on prizes to follow.
Author Katrina Musto to Visit Library
Author Katrina Musto will visit the library on Wednesday, February 27, at 7 pm to give a presentation on her autobiographical novel, And Then the Phone Rang: What I've Learned About Life, Love, and Lasagna, a story about how a comfortable life can change very suddenly and challenge one's inner strength.
Theater Trip to See Guys and Dolls
The Friends of the Roseland Free Public Library present a trip to see Guys and Dolls at Music Mountain Theatre in Lambertville, NJ, on Sunday, March 10. $60 includes transportation, light lunch, and matinee ticket. Proceeds will benefit the Friends. Tickets must be purchased at the circ desk in advance. Limited to 45 guests. Bus leaves at 12:45 pm sharp.
Exhibit to Raise Awareness of Homeless & Feral Cats
"LOVE...and the Cats Meow," an exhibit of photographs by Caldwell resident Joanne Zascone, will be on display in the community room through March 15. Meet the artist and enter for a chance to win one of her prints during a reception on Saturday, February 16, from 2 to 4 pm. RSVP for reception on our website.
Free Practice SAT and ACT Tests
C2 Education Test Prep & Tutoring Center will come to the library to administer free full-length practice SAT tests on Saturdays, March 2 and June 1, 10:30 am-1:30 pm, as well as a full-length practice ACT test on Saturday, May 11, 10:30 am-1:30 pm. RSVP: Email WEST.CALDWELL@C2EDUCATE.COM and include the student's name, school and grade in fall, and contact info.
Guided Meditation Classes
Adult Guided Meditation classes will continue on Thursdays, February 21 & March 7, at 10 am & 7 pm. RSVP under Event Registration.
Knitting & Crochet Club
Enjoy an evening of knitting and crocheting at the library on Monday, March 18, starting at 7 pm. New members welcome.
Walking for Fitness
This group fitness activity meets Mondays at 10 am. Jump-start your morning with a 45-minute low-impact workout that emphasizes walking (streamed on video). Also includes discussion and healthy recipe exchanges. Ideal for beginning fitness levels. Bring towel and water bottle. RSVP on website homepage.
Chair Yoga Mondays
Join us for some chair yoga workouts (streamed on video) every Monday starting at 11 am. Bring towel and water bottle. Class size is now limited to 12. RSVP on website homepage.
Matinee Mondays
The library will be closed for Presidents' Day on February 18, so our Monday afternoon movies continue on February 25 at 1 pm with "RBG," the 2018 documentary that takes an in-depth look at U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her groundbreaking work. Movie is rated PG and runs for 1 hour and 38 minutes.
Author Katrina Musto to Visit Library
Katrina Musto, author of And Then the Phone Rang, will visit the library on Wednesday, February 27, at 7 pm to discuss her autobiographical novel about stepping up to the plate when life throws you a curve ball. RSVP on our website.

Patrons can borrow passes for themselves and/or their families for Montclair Art Museum, Morris Museum, The Jewish Museum, the Children's Museum of Manhattan, Grounds for Sculpture, and Imagine That! HOOPLA is back for our patrons! Go to www.hoopladigital.com and enter your library card information to download free music, movies, television programs, audiobooks, and ebooks with no late fees. Please note: each patron is entitled to any FOUR downloads per month at this time. If you need one-on-one help getting started, see our assistants Tami Jaegel and Scott Bergenfeld.
Leveled Reading List Books Available
Noecker Kids & Parents: We now have a list of books available at the library for the leveled reading system used at Noecker Elementary School. All you have to do is inquire at the Circulation Desk, and you can see a list of books at your child's current level that we have available.
Zac's Hacks - Computer Help
Library assistant Zac Cascio can show you the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other tech resources Mondays or Fridays 9 am-noon. Safely navigate social media; create resume templates, letters, and spreadsheets; utilize cell phone, iPad, and Kindle features, such as calendars and more. Please note: RSVP needed for this drop-in instruction, go to "Even Registration" on the right-hand side of this homepage.
Mobile Hotspots Available
Mobile Hotspots are now available for our patrons to borrow! Available to patrons 18 or older with a valid driver's license and Roseland Free Public Library card in good standing. Each hotspot provides internet access for up to 10 devices. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, and the loan period is 14 days. There will be a $5 per day late fee.
