Summer Reading Buddies
Beginning readers in grades K-3 pair up with older students in grades 8-12 to practice their developing reading skills. Great community service for teens, too! Tuesdays & Thursdays 10-10:30 am, June 27-August 10. Call 973-226-8636.
Summer Reading Registration
Registration for our 2017 Summer Reading Program begins on Monday, June 26. Pick up your bag of goodies and reading logs then or anytime after! This year's theme is Build a Better World. Registration is for Roseland residents only.
Summer Reading Magic Show
Celebrate the start of our Summer Reading Program with a magic show by David Corsaro on Monday, June 26, at 3:30 pm.
Guided Meditation Classes
Our next Guided Meditation classes are scheduled for Thursday, July 13, at 10 am and Thursday, July 20, at 7 pm. Check the adult calendar for more upcoming sessions.
Master Gardening Class
FOR KIDS & TEENS - Work with your own age group and help beautify the Library's grounds while learnng a thing or two from the Essex County Master Gardener! Call 973-226-8636 to RSVP.
Adult Yoga Resumes
Our Adult Yoga classes will resume on a weekly basis starting Wednesday, June 28, at 10:30 am with certified instructors Taryn and Kristin, who will alternate instruction. Call to RSVP.
Roseland Library Book Club
The Roseland Free Public Library Book Club will meet on Wednesday, June 28, at 7:15 pm to discuss The Chilbury Ladies' Choir, a novel by Jennifer Ryan. New members welcome.
Learn More About Magic the Gathering
Middle and high school students can continue learning more about the strategy/fantasy game Magic the Gathering on Thursday, June 29, at 4 pm. Other dates: Thursdays, July 13 & 27, at 4 pm. All levels welcome.
Matinee Mondays
Join us every Monday at 1 pm for a different movie and popcorn! Next film: The Shack on July 3. No RSVP needed. Please note that there will be no movie on June 26 due to a special Summer Reading Program event in our Community Room.
Author Visit: Valerie Testa Almquist
Author Valerie Testa Almquist joins us on Wednesday, July 26, at 7 pm to discuss her novel Look Back Move Forward and her short story, "Mother-Daughter Connection," which appears in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Best Mom Ever!
Knitting & Crochet Club
Our Knitting & Crochet Club will meet again at 7 pm on Monday, July 17. New members are always welcome!
Wine Glass Painting
Enjoy a night out with friends! Use paint and charms to create your own masterpiece during our Wine Glass Painting & Decorating Workshop on Friday, June 30, at 6 pm. Limited to 15 - RSVP required.
Museum Passes Available
Patrons can borrow passes for themselves and/or their families for The Newark Museum, Montclair Museum, Morris Museum, and (through June) The Intrepid. Coming soon: the NY Transit Museum.
