SUMMER READING REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
Our Summer Reading Program is open to Roseland residents of ALL ages through 12th grade. The more reading you log in during the summer, the more raffle tickets you earn toward our end-of-program celebration giveaways. Our theme this year is "A Summer to Remember," which will include a two-week tribute to pets later this summer, as well as other programs and DIY projects. Stop by our circulation desk if you have not signed up already.
GRAB-N-GO DIY BIRD BATH - Monday, June 21
Pick up everything you need to make a terra cotta pot bird bath - ideal for students in grades pre-K through 5th. RSVP on library website and pick up your kits on Monday, June 21, between 9 am and 8 pm. Open to Roseland residents only.
SUMMER READING COOKING CLUB: POPSICLES - Monday, June 28
Cool off with some homemade popsicles! RSVP your popsicle-making kit and pick up from the library any time between 9 am and 8 pm on Monday, June 28. Suitable for all ages, open to Roseland residents only.
OUTDOOR FUN GRAB-N-GO KIT - Monday, July 5
Claim your own bundle of take-home fun, which includes water balloons, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and Suitable for ages 0-11, Roseland residents only. RSVP your Outdoor Fun Kit here and pick up any time between 9 am and 8 pm on Monday, July 5.
OUTDOOR TIE DYE EVENT - Wednesday, July 14, 10 am or 11:30 am
Join us for one of Roseland Library's favorite summer tradition - tie dyeing! Program will take place on the library patio following social distancing guidelines. Suitable for all ages, open to Roseland residents only. Sign up for either the 10 am session or the 11:30 am session. Participants must bring their own plain white T shirts or other white or light-colored material to tie dye.
"TALES & TAILS" GRAB-N-GO ACTIVITY - Monday, July 19
Braid a dog tail and use embellishments to decorate a dog tag for a pet you love! Suitable for all ages, open to Roseland residents only. RSVP your kit here and then pick up from library between 9 am and 8 pm on Wednesday, July 19.
THE LIZARD GUYS - Monday, July 26, at 1:30 pm
Get ready to welcome some special friends to the library! Meet and learn about a variety of reptilian creatures during this informative and entertaining presentation by The Lizard Guys. Suitable for ages 4 and up. Program will take place inside the library's Community Room, and seating is limited to 40 participants. Reservations are a must. Guests must wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. RSVP HERE
MAKE YOUR OWN DOG OR CAT TOY - Tuesday, July 27, at 10 am
Open to Roseland residents - make a toy for your favorite dog or cat! One toy per family, suitable for all ages. Program will take place outdoors on our patio. In the event of rain, this will be a "grab-n-go" craft. If you are making a dog toy, please bring on old T shirt.

SUMMER READERS, TAKE NOTE: Please submit ALL your reading tickets by Monday, August 2, at noon so that you may be entered in our different Summer Reading prize drawings! We will not be able to enter any tickets submitted after that time. Submit your tickets at the circulation desk. The more reading you record, the more tickets you get - good luck!

MAGIC SHOW FEATURING STEVE WOYCE - Thursday, August 5, 3-5 pm
Celebrate the end of our Summer Reading program with an outdoor party featuring a winning combination - magician Steve Woyce and ice cream! Summer Reading prizes will be available for pickup after the party. Even if you end up not taking one of the prizes home, enjoy a cool treat and some magic and take pride in being a summer reader!
