Children and their caregivers can enjoy different themed stories every week and a related craft. Please RSVP to ensure that we have enough craft materials. Upcoming themes:

CRAFTER-SCHOOL CLUB - Tuesday, April 4, at 4 pm

Use washi tape and acrylic paint pens to decorate your own wooden Easter eggs and then take them home in a cute container! For ages 5 & up. RSVP required.


LEGO CLUB - Wednesday, April 5, 4-5 pm

Make your way through our Lego bins and let your imagination run wild! RSVP HERE

We are observing Autism Awareness Month with a story time featuring age-appropriate stories about understanding others with special needs and a related activity. All age children are welcome. RSVP HERE

 


 

AUTHOR VISIT: MELISSA BRADY PETRILLO - Thursday, April 6, at 4 pm

   

Through age-appropriate text and charming illustrations, Melissa's children's book, Sometimes, helps young readers to better understand their peers, including individuals with autism. Melissa became inspired to become a special needs teacher after having worked at Camp Hope through the ARC of Essex County. Event includes a sensory craft activity. Event is suitable for ages preschool through third grade. RSVP HERE


 

SPANISH STORY TIME - Thursday, April 13, at 10:30 am

   

Bilingual children's author Michelle Palmer will read her Spanish storybook about Brinco the bunny and then conduct a springtime stamp craft. RSVP HERE



MUSICAL STORY TIME WITH MS. LYNNE - Tuesday, April 18, at 10:30 am

   

Ms. Lynne, who teaches Music Together classes in the West Essex area, will play guitar during a special musical story time at the library, and children can follow along with instruments and other fun props! Immediately following story time, children can work on a music-themed craft. RSVP HERE


 

DOG MAN FUN DAY - Wednesday, April 19, at 4 pm

Dog Man fans ages 8 and up can enjoy a variety of Dav Pilkey-inspired activities and other surprises! RSVP HERE


CRAFTER-SCHOOL CLUB: RAIN STICKS FOR EARTH DAY - Thursday, April 20, at 4 pm

Make and decorate your own rhythmic rain stick during this special Earth Day edition of Crafter-School Club! Particpants can also enjoy a bonus Native American-themed craft to take home or put together at the library. Limited to 25 - RSVP required.
